Privacy policy

What we collect, when we collect it, and what we do not ask for.

Placeholder pending final legal copy. The full Privacy Policy is to be supplied by counsel. The summary below describes the data practices the site is currently built around.

Free membership

Joining the free research community collects your first and last name, email address, phone number, whether you have a dog, a cat or both, and your primary area of interest. We collect no health information about your pet at this stage, and no payment details.

Paid enrollment

Detailed information about your pet — species, breed, age, sex, weight, body condition, health history, medications, laboratory values and veterinary contacts — is collected only after you have chosen a plan. We ask for it then because the assessments need it, and not before, because holding sensitive information we are not using is a liability to you and to us.

Your veterinarian

We contact your veterinarian only if you explicitly grant permission during enrollment, and only to share reports about your own animal. You can withdraw that permission at any time.

Email

You receive email because you ticked a box asking for it. Every message carries a one-click unsubscribe, and unsubscribing from the newsletter does not affect a paid membership.

What we do not do

  • We do not sell your information.
  • We do not share your pet’s health information with advertisers.
  • We do not ask for a medical intake before you have decided to enroll.
  • We do not store card details — payment is handled by the payment provider.

Access, correction and deletion

You can request a copy of everything we hold about you and your pet, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it. Deletion removes your assessment history, so export your reports first if you want to keep them.
